The $179 is only for the planning service, not for anything you spend on the trip itself.

No. The $179 is the planning fee for your TripStrat Complete Plan. It does not depend on your total trip budget, hotel budget, flight costs, or how much you choose to spend on the trip itself. You are paying for the custom strategy, structure, and itinerary planning.
